Established in the 1930s with over 80 years of existence, Stamford Tyres has grown from a small tyre shop to a global distributor of tyres and wheels spanning over 90 countries and having our own wheel factory. In the course of our progress, the company weathered and overcame cyclical business fluctuations, the Asian Financial Crisis of the 90’s and the Global Financial Crisis of the millennium.
Our expertise lies in our international distribution competence, which we have expanded throughout the world. We also have regional retail operations as well as truck and off-the-road tyre management services. We have further expanded our capabilities in the manufacturing of alloy wheels and proprietary tyre brands contract manufacturing.
The Group’s international distribution network currently spans across 11 countries in Asia Pacific, Africa and Australia. We have also strengthened our product development capabilities and introduced innovative proprietary brands, Sumo Firenza tyres, Sumo Tire and SSW wheels, which are being sold globally.
Stamford Sports Wheels or SSW is our own in house brand of alloy wheels we manufacture in our own factory. SSW, Manufacturer of High Quality Aluminium Alloy Wheels in Thailand with products range from passenger car, SUV, MPV and light truck. Wide variety designs and finishing are from team of experienced designers and USA Designing house. Factory is currently exporting the wheels internationally in Europe, USA, Australia and most of Asia Countries. Under stringent quality control process, the factory is certified by JWL/JWL-T (Japan), GOST (Euro-Asian Council, CommonwealthIndependentStates) as well as TUV Rheinland, Germany for ISO 9001:2000 and TS16949:2002 since 2006.
Stamford Tyres was listed on the Second Board of Singapore Stock Exchange (then known as SGXSesdaq) in 1991, and was upgraded to the Main Board of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST) in April 2003. Today, Stamford Tyres is one of the largest independent tyres and wheels distributor in South East Asia.
